Driving directions

From Washington: Take I-270 north. After Exit 32, merge into the far right lane and follow signs to join I-70 east toward Baltimore. Get off at Exit 56 MD 144/Patrick Street and stay to the RIGHT and it will bring you out on East Patrick Street. You will cross back over I-70 on Patrick Street headed west. You need to merge to the right lane. Continue 1 block to the first traffic light. Turn RIGHT at this light onto Monocacy Blvd and continue straight ahead 1/2 mile to Hughes Ford Road (a stop sign). Turn RIGHT onto Hughes Ford and travel less than 1/4 mile to the Airport. Just before entering the airport parking lot, turn LEFT onto Aviation Way. The AOPA building is straight ahead. Visitor parking is in front of the building by the flag poles.

From Baltimore: Take I-70 West, exit at Exit 56 to MD 144/Patrick Street onto East Patrick Street and travel 1 block to the first traffic light. Turn RIGHT at this light onto Monocacy Blvd. Continue 1/2 mile to Hughes Ford Road and travel less than 1/4 mile to the Airport. Just before entering the airport parking lot, turn LEFT onto Aviation Way. The AOPA building is straight ahead. Visitor parking is in front of the building.

From Loudoun County, Northwestern VA./Eastern W. VA: Take Route 15 from Leesburg (joins Route 340 from Charles Town, W. Va.). Take Route 340 to I-70 just outside of Frederick. At I-70/I-270 split stay left to continue on I-70. Take third exit (Exit 56) marked MD 144/Patrick Street and bear RIGHT to cross over I-70 and then LEFT onto East Patrick Street. Travel 1 block to the first traffic light. Turn RIGHT at this light onto Monocacy Blvd. Continue 1/2 mile to Hughes Ford Road and travel less than 1/4 mile to the Airport. Just before entering the airport parking lot, turn LEFT onto Aviation Way. The AOPA building is straight ahead. Visitor parking is in front of the building.

From Pennsylvania: Take Route 15 South to I-70 East, towards Baltimore. Take Exit 56 off I-70 marked MD 144/Patrick Street, bear RIGHT to cross over I-70 onto Patrick Street. Turn RIGHT at this light onto Monocacy Blvd. Continue 1/2 mile to Hughes Ford Road and travel less than 1/4 mile to the Airport. Just before entering the airport parking lot, turn LEFT onto Aviation Way. The AOPA building is straight ahead. Visitor parking is in front of the building.
