Dozens of warbirds and hundreds of spectators will descend on the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum grounds for warbird-specific airshows and demonstrations, to honor veterans, and to enjoy a performance from country music singer Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry.

Although the lineup is still being finalized, attendees can expect to see a unique array of warbirds including but not limited to the following: FM-2 Wildcat, Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver, North American B-25J Mitchell, North American P–51D Mustang, Curtiss P–40K Warhawk, Lockheed P-38L Lightning, Hawker Hurricane, and Supermarine Spitfire.

Airshow performances will include popular acts from Tora Tora Tora Airshows, Matt Younkin of Younkin Airshows, the Wings of the North Air Museum, and the Dakota Territory Air Museum.

“We’re so excited to host this airshow after having to cancel last year due to COVID,” said Diane Fagen, who emphasized that she was speaking on behalf of the entire Fagen family. “We not only have a great lineup of top airshow performers; we have returning [World War II] veterans coming to enjoy the show and share their experiences once again.  This airshow is great for all ages. Plan to come and spend the day with us.”

Pilots flying into the event must arrive in a World War II-era aircraft to receive a parking spot. Other aircraft types will be diverted to a nearby airports due to a lack of ramp space. Pilots are responsible for their own transportation to and from nearby airports.

Admission tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for active military or children, and free for children under nine.

A rain date of June 19 has been set in case of inclement weather.
