Cirrus Aircraft is offering a turnkey program called VisionAir to make the Cirrus Vision Jet easier to own, operate, and manage—particularly for nonpilots in the market for a personal jet.
The program, announced August 3, provides “an on-demand professional pilot, concierge services, complete maintenance coverage, aircraft management oversight and storage, as well as options for insurance coverage and referrals for professional tax advice.”
“We are excited to provide a direct pathway to complete ownership that allows our customers to enjoy all of the benefits of personal aviation while we take care of the details,” said Cirrus Aircraft CEO Zean Nielsen. Details range “from preparing the aircraft to rolling out the red carpet and stocking the owner’s favorite refreshments onboard,” he explained.
Cirrus delivered 81 Vision Jets in 2019 and delivered its 200th jet in July.
The Cirrus Vision Jet is among few aircraft that will receive Garmin’s Autoland system. The Piper M600 and Daher TBM 940 have been certified with the system. It is branded as Safe Return by Cirrus, and the company said it provides “the ultimate level of safety and assurance” when combined with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System.
