FALL BUCKET LIST

Cooler air, cozy flannels, and the return of pumpkin spice lattes can only mean one thing—Fall is here! And what’s not to love about sweater weather, football weekends, and the beauty of colorful leaves. Not to mention—Fall allows for some of the best flying pilots can experience—meaning less turbulence, generally tame weather, and overall better aircraft performance.

Access to an aircraft and a pilot certificate make it really easy to experience all the fun activities that come with Fall. So, this season, take advantage of your wings and embrace all that Fall has to offer.

FLY THE FOLIAGE: We’ll admit the East Coast might have a leg up on the rest of the country when it comes to the beauty and abundance of Fall foliage. Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York are the go-to classics for stunning scenery, but you can catch a glimpse of the red, yellow, and orange leaves across the U.S. In many places, October is often the peak leaf peeping month, so make sure to plan accordingly.

CATCH A GAME: The beauty of having an airplane is the ability to get to your destination in half the time. Forget another weekend on the couch—sport your team’s colors and spend some time cheering next to thousands of your closest friends. There’s an airport nearby most football stadiums and we’ve already gotten a head start on the flight planning—check it out here.

VISIT THE ORCHARDS: Bring on the Pink Ladies, Granny Smith, and Honeycrisps! Apple picking season is upon us and the influx of apple-picking photos is bound to flood your socials. Even if you’re just “doing it for the gram” or were dragged to the orchard by your significant other, apple picking is a quintessential fall time activity. Plus, you can always make some delicious apple pie with your loot.

RENT A CABIN: Plan a get together with your family and friends and enjoy a weekend getaway! There’s no better time to cozy up in a cabin than when the weather gets cooler and the leaves change color.

PICK UP A NEW HOBBY: Channel your inner Martha Stewart (minus the prison stint) and pick up some new hobbies—crafting, baking, or home renovation. Fall is the perfect time to get in tune with some new skills.
