AOPA offers a variety of activities at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

At this year’s EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in Wisconsin, AOPA is offering a big selection of seminars; get-togethers; and one-on-one time with its specialists to discuss topics including regulations, medical certification, and other issues at the AOPA Campus, booth No. 463, across from the Brown Arch.

The massive aviation gathering will be held July 20 to 26. AOPA members can start their day, Monday through Friday, with Coffee & Conversation from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. hosted in the AOPA Backyard. Each day, a rotating roster of senior staff and AOPA Board members will be on hand to join the chat.

This year's seminar schedule offers engaging topics presented by leading experts in the aviation industry, AOPA and AOPA Air Safety Institute specialists, and AOPA partners. Highlights include the Pilot Town Hall meeting on July 22 from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. with AOPA acting Co-presidents Katie Pribyl and Jill Baker, as well as AOPA Board members briefing you on how the organization will continue to support general aviation. To reach as many attendees as possible, some seminars will run twice during the week. On July 20 and 23, Federal Air Surgeon Dr. Susan E. Northrup will take a deep dive into everything pilots need to know about mental health and how it impacts their medical, and Savvy Aviation's Mike Busch will lead live sessions of Ask the A&Ps podcast on July 21 and 24.

On July 21, Juan Browne will take you behind the scenes of his YouTube channel, @blancolirio, and former U.S. Navy Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet pilot Ryan Graves will talk about UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) as an aviation safety imperative. Kyle Fowler of Kyle Fowler Aerosports, known for his Rutan Long-EZ airshow routine; Nathan Hammond from GhostWriter Airshows; and Mini Jet Airshows' aerobatic pilot Tom Larkin will talk on July 24 about what it's like inside the night airshow.

Seminars are free and open to all attendees. Find out what else is in store and download the complete schedule of seminars.

If you have your fill of talking, there's always gawking: While it is parked at the AOPA Campus, have a last look at the AOPA Sweepstakes Aviat Husky before a lucky winner is announced. We will also unveil the next AOPA sweepstakes airplane. If you have questions about FAA rules and regulations, flight planning, and medical certifications, this is your chance to meet with staff from AOPA's Pilot Information Center. Talk to our advocacy team if you know about impending airport closures or if you are concerned your airport might head in that direction, and ask specialists from Pilot Protection Services anything involving FAA regulation enforcement, or if your medical is under review.

You can save $10.00 by joining or renewing your AOPA membership. If you're a member of AOPA's Automatic Annual Renewal program, you have a pick of a hat or a T-shirt.

And of course, AOPA gear and apparel will be available for purchase on site.

In short, make booth 463 your home base at AirVenture and treat it as a place to rest and to connect with fellow pilots and aviation experts. Don't miss the reimagined AOPA Campus.
