Trig Avionics announced the availability of an FAA supplemental type certificate (STC) for its TX56 and TX57 nav/com models.
More than four years after debuting the TX family of nav/com units, the U.K.- based avionics manufacturer announced that its TX56, TX56A, TX57, and TX57A units are now all available with a free FAA STC that “contains practical resources designed to help Approved Trig Dealers execute an efficient installation, providing reassurance of compliance for qualified installers,” the company said in a press release.
The TX56 comes with an approved model list that includes more than 650 general aviation fixed wing aircraft. The STC also includes configuration of both legacy and modern VOR and ILS autopilots.
According to the company, authorized Trig dealers can access the STC through the Trig Dealer Portal. Installers interested in accessing the STC should email Trig Avionics for support. The TX56A is $4,846 and can be purchased from an approved Trig Dealer.
