Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.'s two G700 production test aircraft and the all-new G800 flight test aircraft are among the manufacturer's aircraft on display at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition before the long-range business jets depart for a world tour.
Gulfstream expects the flagship G700 and G800 to enter into service in 2023. The tour is intended to demonstrate the capabilities of the G700, which flies 7,500 nautical miles at Mach 0.85.
Burns also gave an update on an airworthiness directive for all G500 and G600 airplanes that followed hard landings related to the jets' angle of attack limiter. He said all in-service aircraft have been updated in compliance with the AD.
Gulfstream also announced the expansion of its Savannah, Georgia, manufacturing facilities and plans to open a new component repair and overhaul facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
