Question of the Week
Question

Where can I find a mechanic to do a prepurchase inspection, and what should it include?
Answer
Prepurchase inspections are available from some companies, as well as individual mechanics or nearby shops. You may also get a referral to a mechanic from the owners group or aircraft type club, from the FBO at the aircraft's home airport, or from a local flying club. Also, AOPA offers a Purchase Inspection Checklist, an Aircraft Condition Checklist, and other resources to inform your inspection. Read the full answer and join the discussion >
