Everyone, it seems, loves your new airplane. The AOPA Sweepstakes Super Cub is quickly becoming a YouTube aviation sensation.
Aviation 101 and Flight Chops flew the immaculately restored 1954 PA–18 after the AOPA Fly-In at Frederick, Maryland.
Aviation 101's Josh Flowers flew with AOPA Sweepstakes Super Cub restorer Darin Meggers to learn about all the details that went into refurbishing this aircraft to better-than-new condition. Flowers and Meggers were all smiles as they cruised low and slow over central Maryland.
Afterward, Flight Chops' Steve Thorne got a lesson from AOPA Pilot Editor at Large Dave Hirschman on how to taxi, take off, and land the Super Cub on Wipaire's Wipline 2100 amphibious floats.
Aviation 101 and Flight Chops are featuring the Super Cub on their respective YouTube channels, and subscribers are going wild for the airplane. Check out their take on the Super Cub.
