Trig Avionics—the Edinburgh, Scotland-based avionics manufacturer known for its transponders and compact VHF com radios—next seeks to improve cockpit audio quality, with two new audio panels scheduled to begin shipping in January.
Aircraft owners can select from two models, the standard TMA44 audio panel and the enhanced TMA45, which Trig calls "superior." Both audio panels benefit from high quality and a simple-to-use interface, matched with impressive audio and entertainment technology, the company said, adding that they are a natural companion for the Trig TY96 and TY96A stack radios—although they work with third-party products as well.
“With a choice of two audio panels, Trig has created options for all pilots,” said Jon Roper, Trig marketing manager. “Those looking for a fully featured stereo and Bluetooth audio panel will fit the TMA45 superior panel. Those pilots wanting key features but great value will most likely buy our TMA44 standard panel.”
The TMA45 is a plug-and-play retrofit for the Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, Trig said, while the TMA44 uses an industry-standard 44-pin connector to facilitate retrofits with older audio panels. The TMA45 and TMA44 panels are 33 mm high and have the same form factor.
Both audio panels can be ordered through Trig’s Approved Trig Dealer network and are covered by a two-year warranty. For more information see the website.
