Project Pilot awards money for flight training
One of AOPA's top priorities is to increase the U.S. pilot population. To accomplish that, AOPA revamped its Project Pilot program to give members the opportunity to mentor student pilots. (Students who have mentors are three times as likely to become a pilot.)
As an extra incentive for prospective pilots to go after their dream of earning their wings, AOPA gave away $250 for flight training to more than a dozen future pilots. One future pilot earned $5,000 for flight training. (The money can only be used for flight training.)
