Memorial Day Activities

There are many local community events going on Memorial Day weekend across the country. From parades, to firework shows, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate the day! Here are some popular ways us Americans love to show our patriotism.

HIT THE BEACH: Not like we ever need an excuse to visit the beach, but Memorial Day laying out on the sand just hits different. If you aren’t a seasider, don’t fret! There are some great destinations just a hop, skip, and jump away in your personal aircraft! Check out some great airports with nearby beaches— and don’t forget to pack a tumbler with your favorite beverage to keep you cool.

VISIT A MUSEUM: Brush up on your history, and take a stroll through a local museum. Honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Some museums even offer special discounts during the holiday weekend! 

HOST A BBQ: No one is more in their element than a dad and their grill—this especially rings true on Memorial Day. Invite friends and family over and throw some hotdogs and hamburgers on for the ultimate afternoon soiree.
