May 20 is National Rescue Dog Day, and every year, way too many good boys and girls are abandoned or worse. And it’s an issue that can only be solved by working together.
If you don’t know what to do to help, we’ve got you.
First, here are some great organizations that have been helping find homes for floofers from all over the country:
Second, choose your favorite organization (or all of them). What you do to help and support them is completely up to you.
You can donate, foster a pupper, adopt and get a load of unconditional love, or do what so many other pilots are doing and combine their love of flying with their love of fur babies and help transport animals in need. It’s ultimately up to you and how much you want to participate. But how could you say no to having the cuddliest copilot you’ve ever had?
But it doesn’t stop there. Lots of other animal rescue organizations need our help, too. Turtles Fly Too introduced themselves to us at SUN ‘n FUN and they use general aviation to help transport turtles, endangered species, and response teams.
There’s no shortage of work to be done, and there’s always a need for help.
