Do you need an aircraft that can do a little bit of everything? The Aeroprakt–22LS (A–22LS) Foxbat could be your answer.
From aerial photography and wildlife observation to short-field operations and grass-strip adventures, this lightweight utilitarian aircraft proves that capability can come in a small package.
Aeroprakt allows buyers to customize nearly every aspect of the aircraft, from avionics and controls to a paint scheme in any color they can imagine. Whether you want a backcountry beast or classy ride that will turn heads at your local airport, Aeroprakt has your back. Want to turn your Foxbat into a seaplane or skiplane? Aeroprakt still has you covered.
The Foxbat was designed to excel at three things: visibility, short takeoffs and landings, and fuel economy.
First looking at visibility, the Foxbat has floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a massive windshield, as many describe the visibility similar to that of a helicopter. The airplane is also incredibly lightweight, which benefits both its short takeoff and landing (STOL) ability and fuel intake. It can slow to 37 mph (full flaps) before stalling, making backcountry landings a breeze, and consumes just four gallons of fuel per hour in cruise.
The only catch to this airplane is that it’s not particularly fast, so pack some extra snacks for cross-country flights.
