CAU partnership with Delta Propel launches careers

As part of this partnership, representatives from Delta Propel recently visited CAU’s Bakersfield and San Diego locations to speak with students and provide updates on the program.

For aspiring pilots, California Aeronautical University and Delta Propel offers an incredible opportunity to join one of the world's most prestigious airlines. And with the latest updates from Delta, the program is more exciting than ever.

One of the many questions students had for their Delta Propel representative was about the fleet, and what it's like to fly different types of aircraft. And as expected, Delta has a diverse and impressive fleet - boasting 922 mainline aircraft and 326 regional aircraft. But it doesn't stop there, with over 322 aircraft on order, including 33 wide body aircraft. This means that Delta Propel participants will have the chance to gain experience on a variety of different airplanes, setting them up for success in their future careers.

But it's not just about the fleet - Delta has also received numerous awards and recognitions, making it an attractive employer for aspiring pilots. Some of these accolades include being ranked as America's most awarded airline, the best employer for women and diversity, and even ranking No. 12 on Time Magazine's list of highest ranked transportation corporations worldwide.

As an established aeronautical university, CAU  is no stranger to innovative partnerships that propel students towards success. And with CAU as Delta's only west coast collegiate partner, students at CAU have a distinct advantage in their pursuit of a career at Delta Air Lines.

One of the most exciting events for CAU every year is their Aviation Career Day, and 2024 will be no exception. In fact, this upcoming event is expected to be bigger and better than ever. Held in February, Aviation Career Day is a unique opportunity for high school students throughout California to learn more about the aviation industry and explore potential career paths. With Delta and other airline partners present, students will have the chance to network, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from professionals in the field.
