Sporty's launches enhanced flight training courses

Updates include lessons about runway safety and wake turbulence as well as segments on utilizing digital and paper charts. Sporty’s also added new training resources that give students hands-on training with interactive instrument simulators, chart quizzes, and system simulations that include pitot tube or static port failure modes.

Smart Notes is another new feature that allows students to access their digital notes from any point in the course. The digital notes are organized in a menu system that features links that let users quickly jump back to the respective lesson when revisiting notes.

Sporty’s has also enhanced its “always up to date” federal aviation regulations section to include the organization of FAR sections by certificate level, a new search function, and bookmark tool.

The Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot courses have also been revamped with more detailed lessons that focus on real-world flying scenarios and tips.

Through this course, students can also earn an “automatic flight instructor endorsement” that allows them to take the FAA knowledge test after completion.
