Embry-Riddle online programs receive high marks

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was ranked second for Best Online Bachelor's Program by U.S. News & World Report in 2023, and the university also received a second-place ranking for Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans.

The aviation and aerospace-focused university has residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona, but the in-person curriculum is supplemented by a robust online presence, known as Embry-Riddle Worldwide—which enrolls 20,000 students across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree levels.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide has received ongoing recognition from U.S. News & World Report for the success of its online bachelor’s degree programs, earning a spot among the top ranked since 2016—and ranked first in 2022. Its programs for veterans have received recognition for eight consecutive years.

“Embry-Riddle continues to excel with its online bachelor’s programs, which make top-notch education globally accessible to students of all ages at all points in their careers,” said Embry-Riddle President P. Barry Butler. “As early adopters of online learning, our professors, many of them aerospace professionals, have the experience to engage and nurture students. We are especially proud to have helped veterans transition to well-paid jobs that contribute to our communities.”

Rank is determined based on several criteria, including student engagement, student services and technology, affordability, and faculty qualifications. Institutions must accept GI Bill tuition waivers and Yellow Ribbon Program funding, among other criteria, to be eligible to be ranked in the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans category.

“We continuously look for opportunities to expand our reach and improve the student experience,” said John Watret, chancellor for Embry-Riddle's Worldwide Campus. “We are deeply committed to our faculty and to the quality of our programs to ensure that students who graduate are well prepared to excel in the workforce.”
