Baker to speak at Beech Bash in the Bluegrass

Beechcraft owners looking for a fun weekend getaway should check out the second annual Beech Bash in the Bluegrass in western Kentucky. AOPA President Mark Baker will be on hand to discuss the state of FAA reauthorization.

Beechcraft owners and pilots can enjoy camaraderie and “airport shenanigans,” and learn valuable information such as insurance tips, mastering your aircraft, and more.

In addition to food, drinks, live music, simulators, and opportunities to fly, several speakers are lined up to inform and entertain, from Baker to the American Bonanza Society’s Tom Turner and YouTube personality Martin Pauly.

The event is scheduled to take place April 28 through 30 at the Madisonville Regional Airport. According to event organizers, the 6,051-foot runway has been recently repaved. Attendees will receive a fuel discount, can get a group rate discount at the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn in Madisonville, and can enjoy shuttle service between the airport and hotels. Camping next to your airplane is also an option. If you plan to attend, be sure to register in advance.
