Southwest Airlines looking for high school interns

Application window is March 6-13

Southwest Airlines is looking for high school students to apply to a summer internship program.

Internship host cities include Atlanta (Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Airport ); Baltimore (Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport); Chicago (Chicago Midway International Airport); Dallas (Dallas Love Field); Denver (Denver International Airport); Honolulu (Daniel K Inouye International Airport); Houston (William P Hobby Airport); Los Angeles (Los Angeles International Airport); Nashville, Tennessee (Nashville International Airport); Oakland, California (Metropolitan Oakland International Airport); Phoenix (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport); and Sacramento, California (Sacramento International Airport). The part-time, paid internships (up to 30 hours per week) will involve work with ground operations at all host cities and flight operations and technical operations at the Dallas location. Interns will work June 13 through August 5.

Applicants should be 16 years old by June 13 and be a rising junior or senior. A cumulative grade point average of more than 2.75 is preferred. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is preferred, along with the ability to work both on a team and as an individual; involvement in extracurricular activities; and being a quick learner, self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented.
