Pilots, aspiring aviators, pilot recruiters, and industry experts made their way to Orlando, Florida, for the Future and Active Pilot Advisors (FAPA) Pilot Job Fair and Future Pilot Forum on January 22.
Over 100 job-seeking pilots talked to line pilots and pilot recruiters about available opportunities during the event hosted by the group that provides “aviation career advisory service for professional pilots.”
The event featured representatives from Air Wisconsin Airlines, GrandView Aviation, Jet It, Kalitta Charters, Mesa Airlines, Premier Private Jets, Republic Airways, Skyborne Airline Academy, and Wheels Up with some even offering on-site interviews to qualified candidates. A commercial certificate or at least 250 flight hours were required for admission.
FAPA’s Future Pilot Forum attracted 75 aspiring aviators eager to learn more about the state of the aviation industry and how to jump-start their own pilot careers. Industry advisors and Florida-based training facilities and programs like Skyborne Airline Academy and L3Harris Airline Academy were available to talk to sky-bound middle school, high school, and college-age students, and their parents, as well as adult career changers and their spouses, and aviation mentors.
Prospective professional pilots should sign up for FAPA’s next event, which will take place February 26 in Nashville, Tennessee.
