The Tiger’s new stripes

The AOPA Sweepstakes program is part of the association’s membership initiative and one that has seen 21 aircraft given away to lucky pilots since 1993. The Tiger renovation has included a factory rebuilt engine, provided by Air Power Inc., and an electric constant-speed propeller, provided by MT-Propeller. A Lycoming O-360/electric propeller combination amps up the Tiger’s performance with a shorter takeoff roll, higher climb rate, and faster cruise speed. Electroair provided an electronic ignition system to increase fuel efficiency; Scheme Designers created a paint scheme appropriate for the Tiger; Render777 installed a stylish and comfortable interior; and the Tiger will be hard to miss with Whelen LED exterior lighting.

The AOPA Sweepstakes began at 9 a.m. Eastern time on November 17, 2020, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on May 20, 2022. In addition to the awarding of the aircraft, the AOPA Sweepstakes also awards prizes to 99 others ranging from headsets to apparel and watches to radios, and more.
