Training Products and Resources
Armless sunglasses use cords
Armless Ombraz Sunglasses use an adjustable cord instead of head-pinching arms to stay in place. Sliding two knots in opposite directions behind a user's head snugs the shades into position. The slim sunglasses work well around town but can be a challenge to don one-handed in a light aircraft without dipping a wing or briefly deviating from altitude. The sunglasses are available online in three colors for $140.

Final Exam
Question

I have a private pilot—single-engine land certificate and am considering a new lighter-than-air rating. Do I need a new student pilot certificate, or does the private pilot certificate satisfy the requirements?
Answer
No, you do not need a new student pilot certificate. During your additional category rating training you'll be flying on the strength of your existing private pilot certificate under the provisions of 61.31(d)(2). Read the full answer and join the discussion >

This discussion is from our online Pilot Information Center, where you can ask questions, contribute answers, earn badges, and join our growing pilot community online. Did you know that student pilots who join AOPA are three times more likely to complete their flight training?
