Talk to experts at the AOPA Aviator Showcase in Virginia

Manassas Regional/Harry P. Davis Field, the busiest airport in the Commonwealth of Virginia, will transform into the central meeting ground for pilots, aircraft owners, and aviation industry experts to chat, conduct business, and participate in educational seminars on August 27.

“You're going to have a lot of opportunities to talk to people in the industry,” said Juan Rivera, director of the Manassas Regional Airport, later adding, “there's going to be a little bit of everything…whether you're a pilot, whether you're in the aviation industry and you are providing support services for pilots or the aircraft itself.”

More than 40 exhibitors and more than 15 aircraft display participants will spend the day sharing the latest developments in the aviation industry. In addition, eight educational seminars will be presented, ranging from tips for using ForeFlight to buying an airplane. Attendees also can check out new aircraft on the market, get ideas for refurbishing their own aircraft, and learn about financing and insurance options for purchasing aircraft.

“I encourage everybody to come out and enjoy the showcase,” Rivera said.

Those who plan to attend must register in advance (tickets cost $20 per person). The event has proved so popular that registration is sold out for those who want to fly in. However, tickets are still available for those who plan drive in. Pilots who will be traveling from a long distance can fly into nearby general aviation airports such as Leesburg Executive Airport, Culpeper Regional Airport, and Warrenton-Fauquier Airport and make arrangements to drive to Manassas.
