The thirtieth annual World Assembly of the International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations planned for June 29 to July 3 in Montreal has been postponed because of the global coronavirus outbreak.
The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) was scheduled to host the biannual meeting.
IAOPA is composed of 82 general aviation organizations that represent more than 400,000 pilots worldwide. Affiliates of IAOPA meet during the World Assemblies to create resolutions that guide all of the groups on advocating for subjects ranging from medical certification to emerging technologies.
“For those of you that have already registered for the event COPA has advised that they will be reversing the charges and offering refunds,” Spence said.
The meeting was not immediately rescheduled.
