Well-known safety advocate Bruce Landsberg is set to be nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as a member of the National Transportation Safety Board. Following Senate confirmation, Landsberg will serve a five-year term and would be designated vice chairman for two years.
The White House announcement of Landsberg’s nomination follows last month’s appointment of Robert Sumwalt to chair the NTSB.
“Bruce’s extensive knowledge and expertise in the safety arena are well-suited for this important position and I applaud President Trump for selecting him to serve on the board,” said AOPA President and CEO Mark Baker.
