Honda Aircraft Co. is delivering four new aircraft per month and expects to continue that pace into next year. The company, which has a manufacturing center in Greensboro, North Carolina, delivered 24 HondaJets in the first half of this year.
"The reception to the HondaJet from customers around the world has been outstanding," said Michimasa Fujino, Honda Aircraft Co. president and CEO. "Our airplane's performance is the best in its class."
The company has 1,800 employees in Greensboro.
Honda has delivered 58 aircraft since it was certified in the United States in 2015. The company announced that it is setting up its first dealership in China and has applied for aviation certification there.
"Our aircraft has been described as a game changer," Fujino said. "The game is changing."
