The three-week program will run Aug. 27 through Sept. 17 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is intended to provide participants with focused instruction and motivation leading to a sport pilot certificate. Participants will fly a dedicated fleet of Cessna 162 Skycatchers.
“We’re introducing the EAA Sport Pilot Academy this year as a prototype program for a limited number of students, so we can grow and enhance it in the future,” said Sean Elliott, EAA vice president of safety and advocacy.
Participants must complete Sporty’s online ground school for sport pilots, included in the price of the program, and take and pass the FAA knowledge test before arriving in Oshkosh. The price is $9,999. Registration must be completed by July 1. For more information, see the website.
