Two aircraft research and valuation firms have revealed new products aimed at making comparisons more complete. Consultants Conklin & de Decker announced the release of its 2010/2011 Aircraft Performance Comparator software, which the company says will allow customers to compare aircraft interiors and exteriors—as well as performance data from manufacturer-approved flight and performance manuals. The new software also includes preliminary data on new aircraft such as the Embraer Legacy 650, the Hawker Beechcraft King Air C90GTx and 350i, the Bell 429, and Diamond’s DA 42 NG. Price of the software is $695 for jets, $595 for turboprops or helicopters, and $450 for the piston database. GlobalAir.com has also rolled out changes to its Aircraft Exchange website, which offers a multitude of comparison variables that prospective buyers will find useful. GlobalAir says that an unlimited number of aircraft can be compared with regard to interior layout, avionics suite, engine specifications, and even paint schemes. “It is informative, easy to navigate, and pleasing to the eye,” said Jeff Carrithers, president of GlobalAir.com. “After visiting our site, all [customers] have to do is call, email, or text a seller.” To see the new features, go to the Aircraft Exchange page.
