Pilots based at Melbourne International Airport are encouraged to attend a meeting on January 18 at the airport to learn about the Transportation Security Administration's enhanced security measures at air carrier airports. Airports must collect the personal information, including proof of citizenship, of those who currently have or are applying for a security badge or airport-issued ID that gives them access to the airport. The Melbourne Area Pilots Association is hosting the meeting to allow pilots to complete the necessary paperwork and view a safety video needed to get a new security badge and maintain ramp driving privileges at Melbourne International. The meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, in the upstairs portion of the airport terminal. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
