How Escrow Works
Aero-Space Reports, Inc. serves as a neutral, third-party escrow agent in aircraft transactions. Our role is to facilitate the transaction by acting as the neutral third party for all involved including buyers, sellers, lenders, lienholders, dealers, brokers, attorneys and representatives.
As the escrow agent, we operate based on written instructions provided and agreed upon by all parties to the transaction. To initiate escrow, a mutually agreed-upon set of written instructions such as an email from the parties or purchase agreement and a duly executed escrow terms and conditions—provided by Aero-Space Reports, Inc.—must be submitted. We require a purchase agreement when the transaction calls for a $10,000.00 deposit or greater. We have sample purchase agreements for parties to use upon request.
Funds are securely wire transferred to our escrow account, where they remain under the sole discretion of the remitter. The funds are only disbursed upon receipt of proper written instructions from the remitter. By default, all deposits are refundable to the remitter unless Aero-Space Reports, Inc., receives written instructions from both the buyer and seller indicating otherwise.
We manage all documents needed to clear the title, transfer the title, register the aircraft as well as record consensual liens. Our experienced escrow agents organize and review these documents to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and guidelines.
For closing, we request final authorizations from the relevant parties regarding the disposition of funds and documents. Once all requirements are met, and the documents for filing with the FAA are in proper form, AeroSpace Reports, Inc. will disburse proceeds per the seller and lienholder instructions and file the necessary documents with the FAA.
