McFarlane Aviation partners with The Landing Gear Works

McFarlane now exclusive distributor of TLGW Cessna retrofits

McFarlane Aviation entered a partnership with The Landing Gear Works to distribute the parts supplier’s airframe components to the general aviation market. Under the agreement, TLGW products will be available exclusively through McFarlane.

TLGW is known for producing upgrades for Cessna 180s and 185s, including titanium landing gear legs and tailwheel assemblies, as well as a range of landing gear parts for other Cessna aircraft. The company said its fatigue- and corrosion-resistant gear legs outperform original equipment while saving weight—up to 34 pounds on a Cessna 185.

McFarlane said the TLGW parts will complement its existing line of landing gear products. “The titanium components are innovative and give our customers an option for durable, safe airframe components,” said Paul Theis, product line manager with McFarlane. “Often, many people think of McFarlane as a more affordable option compared to OEMs, but we’re also very driven to offer our customers upgraded components that improve a pilot’s experience. These parts do exactly that.”

For TLGW, the agreement offers an opportunity to deliver its products to a wider audience. “McFarlane Aviation is the ideal partner to distribute our parts to the general aviation market,” said Tom Anderson, founder and CEO of TLGW. “Their expertise with Cessna, comprehensive e-commerce platform and diverse product portfolio will drive the continued success of Landing Gear Works.”
