Wagstaff teams with Simcom

Airshow legend and three-time national aerobatic champion Patty Wagstaff can teach any pilot a thing or two about upset recovery in her Extra 300L classroom, and has now paired with simulation specialist Simcom Training Centers.

Simcom will offer its customers an upset prevention and recovery training course that Wagstaff and her staff instructors have for years taught to pilots of all experience and skill levels to increase confidence and enjoyment of flying at the same time. (A lesson with Wagstaff is educational, and a fun ride.)

Wagstaff and Simcom are each among the more recognizable names in general aviation, and both committed to promoting safety through pilot training. Charter and corporate operators, along with other pilots seeking insurance or other benefits that often result from advanced training, have long turned to both providers. Simcom operates training centers from its headquarters in Orlando, Florida, as well as Scottsdale, Arizona, and another center in the United Kingdom. The company serves individual clients and organizations such as the TBM Owners and Pilots Association. Wagstaff and her instructors conduct training at Odyssey Aviation in Kissimmee, Florida.

“This training helps pilots become more professional and ultimately safer,” Wagstaff said in a news release. “We are excited about partnering with SIMCOM, the perfect choice to support this unique training as a leader in the training and safety industry.”
