Rod Machado’s Aviation Learning Center app aggregates training videos, humor videos, a reading list, a text blog, an audio blog, and video podcasts. The detailed “Learn to Fly” section includes practical advice on steps to take in the early stages of flight training. Additional segments discuss advanced pilot certificates and ratings, and delves into what you can expect to pay to acquire them. A section on pursuing an airline career discusses requirements, education options, and employment prospects.
The app includes ways to connect to Machado via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; an “Ask Rod” tool lets users submit questions. A speaking schedule and map display where he’ll be appearing in 2015. Users can order Machado’s books and other products directly from the app.
