Deadline approaching for 'Flight Training' awards poll

With only three weeks to go to nominate a flight instructor or flight school for a Flight Training Excellence Award, share your feedback by taking a quick online poll by the Aug. 9 deadline and share your feedback.

Flight Training and AOPA’s Center to Advance the Pilot Community is targeting anyone who has had some type of flight training in the last two years to participate in the poll. “Information gathered in the poll will give us a snapshot of today’s flight training environment, as well as help us recognize flight training providers who create an excellent experience and name the winners of the 2013 Flight Training Excellence Awards,” said Shannon Yeager, vice president of strategic initiatives for the center. “AOPA will recognize those flight schools and flight instructors that score in the top 20 percent in their category at this year’s AOPA Summit in Fort Worth, Texas, Oct. 10 through 12, 2013."

There are many people who have a desire to fly, but very few of them make it all the way into the group of certificated pilots. “Participate in the poll and share your recent training experience to identify flight training providers that will help our budding pilots succeed and give our flying community the best chance to create lifelong passionate aviators,” said Yeager.
