AOPA is coming to the Buckeye State, the birthplace of Aviation! AOPA is teaming up with Inspire Aviation to bring an AOPA Fly-In to the Props and Pistons Festival. Enjoy two days that will feature educational seminars, an Exhibit Hall showcasing the latest technology, gear and services, aircraft displays, air shows and even aircraft camping.
The Airshow performances will fill your aviation desire and the “Cruise In” will fill that need for classic cars, custom bikes and historic military vehicles…all in one festival!
Akron Fulton Airport opened in 1929 and for a while was designated a U.S. military base. During WWII Goodyear Aircraft constructed more than 4,000 Corsairs here. The Goodyear Airdock was also created in 1929 as a space where blimps, airships and dirigibles could be constructed.

Camping registration is required for this event. Aircraft Camping registration can be done when registering for the event. Space is limited so only indicate that you will be camping if you plan on it. We want to make sure that those that want to camp are not closed out because we think we are full.
We are ONLY able to offer Aircraft Camping (not car or RV camping). Camping is primitive, however, showers and porta-potties will be on site.

To reserve a rental car from Enterprise to pick up at Akron Fulton Airport please follow these instructions:
Summit Air is open 6:00am – 10:00pm Mon–Fri and 8:00am – 8:00pm Sat–Sun. Rental rate will include additional operating costs for pickup at this location. Only Enterprise is offering cars at this location.
If you fly into an alternate airport, such as Cleveland or Canton, you can take advantage of AOPA’s other rental car partners. These partners are NOT available at the Akron Fulton Airport for pick up.
