Enterprise Rent-A-Car celebrated a second year at the top of the J.D. Power North America Rental Car Satisfaction Study, marking the fourth consecutive year that AOPA Strategic Partners Enterprise, National, and Alamo (all owned by Enterprise Holdings Inc.) locked out the top three places in that annual survey.
The association’s partners support general aviation in many ways, and members are entitled to discounted rates when booking any of these brands online or calling 1-866-315-9155 to reserve a rental. Pickups can be arranged at many GA airports, in some cases even if there are no terminal or FBO facilities on the field.
The J.D. Power survey focuses on the overall customer experience at airports, with specific questions on cost and fees, the pickup and return process, the cars, shuttle service, and reservations. (Additional information on the AOPA discount program and cost comparisons are available here.)
Respondents to the 2015 survey ranked satisfaction on a 1,000-point scale, and the overall satisfaction level of 798 is the highest seen since 2006, when the current survey methodology was adopted. The 2015 survey also was the first in which overall satisfaction among business travelers (802) exceeded that of leisure travelers (796); both increased by double digits over the previous survey.
Enterprise had the top score of any company with 831, showing strength in all areas. National followed with 818 and Alamo with 807. Enterprise Holdings noted in a press release that its three brands were the only brands to post scores above the industry average in 2015, and have locked up the top three spots for four consecutive years.
