Please RSVP to let us know you are coming so we can make plans to accommodate your aircraft. Click here

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for flying in:

Special Arrival and Departure Advisory Procedures have been developed. Please Click here to download the advisory procedures.

Frederick Municipal Airport (KFDK) is a Class D airfield, but the tower has no radar services available. It is important to follow these advisory procedures for your arrival to assist in an efficient and safe operation during anticipated high-traffic volumes.

Please also note that KFDK is inside the 30nm Mode C veil of the Washington-Dulles Class B airspace, and also within the 60nm Washington, D.C. Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) that requires pilots to complete an online awareness training prior to operating in the area. Click here

If you plan to need fuel while at KFDK for Wings ‘n Wheels, a special event fueling area will be set up by Signature Flight Support. Please check in with the FBO upon your arrival to arrange for aircraft fueling.

Due to the high volume of expected arrivals, some attendee aircraft parking will be in well-maintained grass areas. Please come prepared with your own chocks or tie downs.

We’re looking forward to having you with us for Wing ‘n Wheels! Please read the flight procedures and RSVP to let us know you’re coming!

Can you think of a better way to
spend a beautiful spring Saturday than with family and friends checking out the
coolest motorcycles, cars, and aircraft?

Fun for gearheads of all ages, the third annual AOPA Wings ‘n Wheels takes
place at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association headquarters, just steps from the
Frederick Municipal Airport. There will be plenty of food, exhibitors, vendors, and entertainment.

And, admission is FREE!

Aircraft, Car &
Motorcycle Displays

Last year we had over 185 custom and classic cars, motorcycles, and airplanes on display with plenty of opportunities for our 4,200 attendees to get up close and talk with pilots and owners. This year, help us judge the best by casting a vote for your favorite!

Things to do

There will be plenty to see and do. Vote for your favorite car, motorcycle, and aircraft on exhibit. Get an up-close look at the aircraft display and spend some time with our exhibitors and vendors.

Interested in flying? Enter to win a discovery flight in an airplane, helicopter or flight sim, take a ride in a real WWII B25-Mitchell bomber, or purchase a discovery flight for a taste of what’s it’s like to fly and be a pilot.

Grab a bite from one of the gourmet food trucks and pick up t-shirts, caps, and mementos at our pilot shop. Keep the kids entertained in our aviation-themed Kids’ Zone and check out the live band, Six Pack Rodeo.

Drawing for discovery flights!

We’ll have drawings* at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. for a chance to win one of six exciting discovery flights (you're at the controls) in either an airplane or helicopter, or time in our full motion flight simulator. What a great opportunity to experience the wonderful and exhilarating world of flight!

*No purchase necessary. Must be present to win. Void where prohibited. See official rules here.

People's choice awards

Awards for the best classic and custom car, motorcycle, and airplane will be given by popular vote. Be sure to cast your ballot for your favorite!
