Educators and school administrators join AOPA for two full days of breakout sessions, expert speakers, and networking opportunities. Speakers with a wealth of experience in education, aviation, aerospace, and more will share lessons learned and provide fresh ideas to take back to the classroom. The excitement of aviation education in participants at this symposium creates an energized atmosphere found nowhere else.

Hear from leaders in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education community and the aviation industry, including NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold; Bryan Quigley, senior vice president of flight operations, United Airlines; Eric Allison, head of Elevate, Uber Technologies; and U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost.

The symposium focuses on topics such as how to pitch an aviation program to school administrators, integrating technology into an aviation classroom, how to become a drone pilot, and bringing AOPA’s free aviation STEM curriculum to high schools. Expanded exhibits will include industry experts, collegiate aviation programs, and more. Networking opportunities with fellow participants, including educators, administrators, university faculty, and industry leaders, are also a key component of the symposium.
