McFadzean named CEO of Diamond Canada

Diamond Aircraft announced recently that Scott McFadzean has been appointed CEO of the company's Canadian operations. McFadzean, who previously served as chief operations officer, replaces Peter Maurer, who is retiring.

McFadzean has a long tenure at Diamond, and among other roles, served as operations manager for the D-Jet and piston engine lines. The Ontario, Canada, native is a certificated pilot.

The move follows Wanfeng Aviation Industry’s acquisition of the company late last year. As part of the leadership transition, Kevin Sheng was named the new chief operations officer, reporting to McFadzean.

Maurer will remain in an advisory role. “With Scott McFadzean’s promotion to CEO of Diamond’s Canadian operations, its leadership is in most capable hands,” he said.
