Pilots may review the procedures on the FAA’s Fly to Super Bowl 51 website or starting on page 504 of the Notices to Airmen Publication.

The FAA expects additional volume of approximately 1,300 general aviation aircraft, of which 85 percent will be large corporate jets. The agency is advising pilots to expect airspace and frequency constraints, route restructuring, the reallocation of altitudes during the effective period, and significant traffic increases at area airports.

A ramp reservation system will be in effect at Houston metropolitan area airports from Feb. 2 to 7 because of the high traffic volume expected.

AOPA encourages pilots to check notams frequently, to remain alert and informed about the scope and effective times of temporary flight restrictions, to review the resources the FAA has made available for Super Bowl 51, and to plan ahead.
