AOPA working for you in the Western Pacific region

AOPA advocates for pilots across the country, including recent efforts in the Western Pacific region.

AOPA’s final fly-in of 2016 is fast approaching. Please join us Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in Prescott, Arizona, for a weekend of fun, camaraderie, and learning. Safety seminars, exhibits, aircraft displays, and great food are just some of the things you’ll find on offer. As always, AOPA’s fly-ins are a great opportunity to connect with your fellow pilots and the fun of flying. AOPA President Mark Baker will host a Pilot Town Hall to answer your questions and share the latest information about AOPA’s programs and initiatives. The fly-in schedule, along with travel information, and more can be found under the Community tab on AOPA.org. AOPA Regional Manager Melissa McCaffrey has been working with the General Aviation Council of Hawaii (GACH) as that group prepares for a Sept. 24 fly-in at Kalaeloa Airport on Oahu. GACH’s mission includes improving aviation safety and representing and promoting GA in Hawaii and to government leaders. AOPA worked closely with GACH earlier this year when the organizations helped put together the first ever Aviation Day at the state capitol. AOPA Regional Manager Melissa McCaffrey is set to take part in the Association of California Airports annual conference Sept. 14 through 16 in South Lake Tahoe. McCaffrey will bring participants up to date on trends affecting GA in California and AOPA’s efforts nationally and in the state.
