Some FAA online applications unavailable during weekend

The FAA is making upgrades and enhancements that will affect the Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) and MedXPress from 6 p.m. Central time Sept. 13 through 15.

During this time, the Web-based IACRA and online FAA medical application MedXPress will be unavailable.

Any pilots scheduled for flight physicals with an aviation medical examiner between 6 p.m. Central on Sept. 13 and the morning of Monday, Sept. 15, will not be able to receive their printed medical certificate until MedXPress is once again online. Also, AMEs will not be able to input data from the exam until the system is back online at 6 a.m. Central time Sept. 15.

AOPA recommends pilots appearing for practical tests with an FAA examiner during this time take a hard copy of the FAA's Form 8710.
