VOR in Burlington, Wis., proposed for shutdown

The FAA has proposed to decommission the Burbun VOR, a facility that serves the Burlington (Wis.) Municipal Airport.

Pilots are encouraged to submit comments to the FAA on the impact of this proposal on their flight operations as provided below. The navaid was identified for decommissioning without replacement if a study shows that doing so would not be detrimental to the National Airspace System, the FAA said.

Pilots may submit comments to the FAA on the decommissioning proposal by Sept. 17 in writing. Send comments to: Federal Aviation Administration, ATO Central Service Center, Operations Support Group (AJV-C2), Nonrulemaking Case No. 13-AGL-26NR, 2601 Meacham Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76137.
