Be SAFE, get accident forgiveness at EAA AirVenture

Pilots and Starr Aviation policyholders who are planning to attend EAA AirVenture in late July can now get accident forgiveness while going through training with some of the best in the business.

Starr has teamed up with the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) to entice showgoers to take a minute away from the airshow and shopping to learn something new and get something back in the process. Pilots need only attend a SAFE Pilot Proficiency Project event to be eligible for an Accident Forgiveness Endorsement, which in most cases will keep a policyholder’s premium from increasing after an accident.

SAFE’s Pilot Proficiency Project is a series of seminars and hands-on simulator sessions in full-motion Redbirds. Participants can choose to go to either or both to be eligible. The simulator sessions are centered around scenarios, while the seminars cover topics such as emergencies, iPads, single pilot IFR, stall/spin avoidance, and more.

All events are being held in College Park, an area contained with the Education and Interactive Zone, located diagonally from the control tower. Visit SAFE’s website for more information or to register.
