Torrance Airport Association to hold meeting on proposed helicopter route

Editor's note: The meeting agenda for this event no longer includes the helicopter routes. Also, the original story incorrectly stated the topic of the meeting.

California's Torrance Municipal Airport seeks to modify a West Pacific Coast Highway helicopter route that would reduce noise in the surrounding communities, while ensuring safe, efficient operations for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft operating in the airport's Class D airspace. Torrance Municipal Airport serves mainly general aviation aircraft and helicopters, and is home to Robinson Helicopters.

The Torrance Airport Association will host a meeting about the modified helicopter route on Wednesday, July 10, at 7 p.m., at the Torrance Airport General Aviation Center, 3301 Airport Drive in Torrance, Calif. More information is available on the TOA website
