Takeoffs, Landings, and Go-Arounds

There’s a lot of truth to the old adage that no one ever crashed into the sky: Nearly half of all light fixed-wing accidents involve lapses in airmanship while attempting takeoffs, landings, or go-around, all maneuvers supposedly mastered before the first solo. Landings account for the greatest number but fewest fatalities.
