Country music star Aaron Tippin felt right at home with the crowd of several hundred AOPA members as he performed his signature patriotic songs during the Commemorative Air Force's Red, White, and Loud Tour at The Flying Saucer outdoor concert venue in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, Oct. 10. An active general aviation pilot and warbird owner, Tippin shared his love of flying with the fun-seeking crowd of pilots and aviation enthusiasts attending AOPA Aviation Summit 2013. Tippin’s act includes stories of his life—especially his flying life—and the crowd warmed to his tales of adventure flying and how he learned to love aviation from his father, a decorated Vietnam War veteran. Hosted by the Commemorative Air Force, the concert was a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces.
Commemorative Air Force President Steve Brown was introduced by AOPA President Mark Baker, and Brown sang the praises of Commemorative Air Force volunteer Walter Fricke.
